Jillion R. Rising’s “The Solution is Political Revolution” is a non-fiction book that interrogates the way Wall Street, the United States government, and the Federal Reserve have sustained the erosion of wealth and prosperity for Americans. Not taking a political party position, he blames inadequate governance, which spends without surpluses on deficits or debt-accumulating systems. The author encourages a nonviolent political revolt by citizens regarding existing conditions.

He also talks about some key topics within this work, such as the 2008 home mortgage slump, the shift from the Gold Standard to a fiat monetary system, and the monopolization of big corporations. He highlights how these changes and policies lead to average American suffering by mentioning greediness and corruption in their structures. Nevertheless, the writer gives ideas that can prevent dire consequences in the future through his or her writing; for example, unity is needed among others who live in this nation, apart from divisive stories told by Washington, D.C., political elites, and mainstream media houses.

The author’s approach is excellent because it is well-considered and balanced. The readers are not forced into accepting his views but instead given room for critical engagement with the issues presented. The topics in the book are written in a manner that makes them accessible while at the same time being intellectually demanding.

I enjoyed reading this book mainly because the writer insisted on unity among Americans if they were to solve systemic problems caused by Wall Street, the Federal Reserve, and government structures. I did not find anything to dislike about this book.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because it provides an insightful examination of the systemic issues facing America. Rising’s bipartisan perspective, coupled with his appeal for unity and new ideas, creates a very attractive vision of tomorrow for America. The book has been edited excellently.

I recommend this book to policymakers, activists, and others who enjoy reading good books.
