The book "What the Pet Food Industry Is Not Telling You" by Dr. Stephanie Krol primarily focuses on improving pet health, especially for dogs. The author shares dietary recommendations for dog owners, discusses toxic diets, and outlines necessary self-care practices for pets.

The writer shares her experience and motivation for writing this book, which aims to improve the well-being of dogs worldwide. She begins by recounting how her pet Winston became very sick. Stephanie took him to the hospital where the doctor delivered devastating news: Winston needed immediate surgery to extend his life, but even with surgery, he wasn't going to live so long. Despite the heartbreaking news, Stephanie refused to give up on her beloved dog. She embarked on intensive research and discovered a suitable diet and healthcare for Winston. Within months, she witnessed remarkable changes in Winston's health: his rapid ageing reversed, his skin returned to normal, and his eyesight improved significantly. Stephanie didn't stop there; she wrote this book to help other dog owners provide their pets with optimal health through appropriate nutrition and care practices.

Like many other companies, the pet food industry also aims to maximize profits. The writer questions whether these industries truly understand what is best for your dog despite producing pet food. According to the writer, much of the pet food industry utilizes rendering—a process that recycles animal by-products like meat and bone to produce pet food. This practice can potentially introduce toxins into your pet's body, posing risks to their health. The writer advocates for the best diets for dogs and believes that anyone who loves their dog would adopt these practices.

This book is highly informative and educational. I learned a lot while reading it, and I believe it would be beneficial to anyone who comes across it. For these reasons, I would rate it five out of five stars. Additionally, I did not notice any grammatical errors while reading, indicating thorough editing.

I found nothing to dislike about this book. I would recommend it to pet owners, especially dog and cat owners who prioritize their pets' well-being, and to those open to extending their pets' lives by adopting the best diets outlined in this book.
