The Visible Subconscious is an intricate work of the subconscious mind, providing readers with a comprehensive and detailed understanding of its influence and how we can harness the power of our subconscious in our everyday lives and activities. The book discusses the themes of self-discovery, self-awareness, personal growth, and the power of introspection. Ponz beautifully explores the intricacies between the conscious and the subconscious and how both can exist together through visualization. The book is structured around real-life accounts and transcribed sessions of individuals engaging with their visible subconscious to attain personal transformations. Each visible subconscious, as accounted for in the book, takes different forms and shapes, but what is most noteworthy about the visible consciousness is its ability and inclination towards helping the conscious human attain a higher level of self-discovery, such as giving up a sabotaging habit or taking up a more healthy way of life. As seen with Laura, who wants to be happier and lose weight, her visible subconscious, Joseph, is an embodiment of what she desires, and thus, through harnessing her visible subconscious, she became happier, was able to set boundaries, and had an improved relationship with her husband. Also with Sam, his faith and skepticism prevented him from becoming attuned to Ben, his visible subconscious, but as he relayed his fear and concern to Ponz and got more enlightened, he began to lean more and harness the power of his subconscious.
There are a lot of heartwarming scenarios in the book. To begin the provision of the hypnosis session, help the reader grasp the subject of the book and have a deeper insight about the process involved and how hypnosis works. The author's storytelling is another strong point; his writing is both clear and engaging, which makes complex concepts understood and guides readers through the intricacies of the subconscious with ease. I love the tone employed in this book; it is empathetic, but I describe it as a feathering velvet tone, as it keeps me in a complete state of calm and relaxation throughout the book. His tone embodies humor and curiosity. Ponz's communication with Laura and Ethan shows the beauty of the book tone employed. I also love how he always admonishes the participant to give a name to their visible subconscious, as this makes it easy for them to summon their visible subconscious, which eases communication and makes them feel connected. Another beautiful scenario was how a participant was able to gradually overcome anxiety by employing the help of his visible subconscious. The character development in this book is beautiful because Ponz shows how each character develops over time, like Ethan and Blue. Ethan began to let go of his habit with the help of Blue, and Blue also developed physically as well. Another example is Bosco and Matt. Matt began to have an improved quality of life as he harnessed the help of Bosco and leaned into the power of his subconscious.
There is nothing I dislike about the book, as the author made complex concepts that could have been hard to discern very accessible and also provided key insights at the end of each chapter. This helps to give a more in-depth understanding of the intricacies of the subconscious and hypnosis.
The book is perfectly well edited with a clear and logical flow of events. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. The book is thought-provoking and therapeutic, offering a unique and innovative insight into the concept of the visible subconscious. I recommend this book to readers interested in self-improvement, psychology, personal development, self-awareness, or anyone who is open-minded enough, as Ponz's practical advice makes the book a must-read.
