We have all been taught that the older we get, the more impossible it is to pursue our desires or take on new challenges. We have been programmed to believe that after age 50, we should be on our way to retirement, whether or not we have a fulfilled life. But through this book, Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer, the author presents a new narrative that engages people over 50 not to let go of their ambitions and desires.

With over two decades of experience as a financial advisor, the author is a seasoned expert in his field. His book is a goldmine of practical advice that can empower anyone to make significant financial planning shifts, regardless of age. The book underscores the importance of proper financial planning, strategic development, and skill improvement in achieving one's goals. What sets this book apart is the author's engaging writing style and use of personal experiences and success stories, making it a compelling read for anyone seeking to reconfigure their life.

What I like the most about the book is the author's ability to break down complex teaching like this in simple terms. This book is more of a teaching tool, as it brings a new perspective to what retirement should look like. Although this is a bit difficult to start, it is a practical teaching that works and should not be taken lightly. I also appreciate the author for not just listing them out as strategies but also giving a total breakdown of the concepts he presented.

Some parts of this book contained a lot of research and history, which was quite dull to read. Yes, they helped add insight to the book, but it bored me. That aside, there is nothing else that bothered me about the book.

Overall, I have high regard for this book. While I did notice a few minor errors during my reading, they were insignificant and did not detract from my overall experience. The book was professionally edited. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for the above reasons. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to those ready to rethink their lives and control their finances.
