"The Solution is Political Revolution" by Jillion R. Rising is a provocative examination of the current political and social crises and argues for a revolutionary overhaul of the system. Rising starts by detailing the severe issues plaguing our world, such as climate change, income inequality, and political corruption, which he believes cannot be addressed by the existing political structure, heavily influenced by wealthy elites. He advocates for a political revolution, drawing on historical examples like the American and French Revolutions to argue that such upheavals have historically led to meaningful change.

Rising's exploration of political revolutions provides a historical context that enriches his argument. The book is compelling in its analysis, and Rising's call to action is urgent and inspiring. He acknowledges the risks associated with revolutions but emphasizes that the cost of inaction would be far greater, making a case for radical change to achieve justice and equity.

What I particularly liked about the book was Rising’s clear and direct approach to the issues. His thorough historical overview helps readers understand the necessity of such drastic measures and the potential for positive outcomes. Rising’s candid discussion of the risks involved in political revolution adds depth to his argument, acknowledging the complexities without shying away from them.

On the downside, the book could benefit from a more detailed discussion of the practical steps necessary to initiate and sustain a political revolution. While Rising is clear about the need for change, his idealism sometimes overshadows the practical aspects of how such a revolution could be realistically achieved without violence. This might leave some readers questioning the feasibility of his proposals.

Overall, this book is a significant and thought-provoking read. I found no errors in this book, and it was excellently edited. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars because the author explains how past revolutions have succeeded in transforming societies and suggests that similar action is needed today to address our pressing issues. I recommend this book to anyone interested in understanding the deep-seated issues in our political system and those eager to explore the potential for transformative change.
