Christian Espinosa's book, "The Smartest Person in the Room: The Root Cause and New Solution for Cybersecurity," provides a perspective that connects cybersecurity with interpersonal interaction. Espinosa framed this piece in terms of interpersonal skills in the context of the cybersecurity workforce. To this end, the book offers actionable tips on how to upgrade cybersecurity by promoting emotional intelligence, empathy, a learning attitude, and improved awareness among employees. In describing cyber threats, Espinosa amazes the audience with the number of risks for businesses and denounces the industry’s outdated approaches to addressing the issue.

The book is unique and highly focused on providing practical solutions to enhance interpersonal understanding and cooperation among cybersecurity staff. Through the use of real-world practice, Espinosa provides methods that can be implemented by workers to improve their interactiveness. The author’s genuine strategy recognizes that it is not adequate to tackle cyber security challenges through technology alone. Here, the key focus is made on the aspect that is not given considerable attention: the human factor. In this way, the book is beneficial for individuals and organizations that work to increase their level of cybersecurity practice. It should be understood that the principles and methods described are suitable not only for cybersecurity specialists but for any company’s employee.

I appreciate how Espinosa has simplified his methodology. This book provides a set of activities for teams to achieve specific goals, such as boosting cognitive empathy. Espinosa's personal experiences made me feel a direct connection with him as a reader. The frequent, eye-catching diagrams were captivating and helped me grasp the topics more easily. I remained engaged throughout, thanks to intriguing subjects like red pill functionality and the KSA model. There's nothing I dislike about the book; it is resourceful, informative, and interesting.

The author's expertise is evident throughout, and I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. Every aspect of the book is well-written and informative, with no noticeable grammatical flaws. I highly recommend it to everyone, especially those working in the cybersecurity industry.
