Real estate development can be a risky career path, as highly invested projects could fail. But isn't that a fact of life in any business? What makes this career path exciting and a beneficial choice is that it gives individuals a chance to tackle challenging situations and, hence, sharpen their skills. It is also a lucrative choice and enables one to leave a lasting legacy in the industry.

The author discusses a wide range of topics aimed at guiding those individuals interested in venturing into the real estate world but who have no experience and wonder where to begin. Ted carefully discusses essential topics that will give readers a good foundation for their investment. He discusses the processes, or rather, the steps, of how one can become a real estate developer. He also discusses working with contractors, city planning and transitioning from a renter to a homeowner while remembering the strategies that one would employ to secure financing for one's projects.

What I liked the most about Thinking About Becoming A Real Estate Developer? by Ted Ihde is that the author himself is a real estate developer. This makes his work credible. Other than that, readers are assured that what he shares is factual, having walked the walk and seen it all. Thus, he can advise readers on their challenges and opportunities, as well as how to handle them. I also appreciated the statistical data he provided on the various topics covered throughout the book. This gives readers a deeper understanding of the subject being discussed, as well as supporting the author's discussions in the book.

There is nothing I liked the least about this book. I appreciated how the author provided examples, or rather, samples, of the documentation involved in the entire property acquisition process, including the developer's mission, value statement and proposals. This makes readers who envision following this path aware of the processes involved and have an idea of exactly how everything works out.

The book is incredibly well edited, as I found no grammatical errors or mistakes throughout. I award this book the maximum rating of five out of five stars. I recommend this helpful resource to readers who want to venture into the real estate world, as they will find it impactful and informative.
