Cheating is a really ugly thing to do, and it hurts even more when you are the one who discovers your partner. Deceit: A True Story of Domestic Infidelity and Betrayal with Salacious Details Recorded by Wiretap by Vernon Baumrind shows the true nature of his wife as a deceitful person who has been having an affair with her doctor for a lengthy period of time. This book is nonfiction, so I suggest you pay close attention. Someone has taken the courage to share their story, even when the logical thing to do is to cover the scandal. Charged with the burden of proof, this author has no option but to use illegal means to prove that his wife is cheating. Read this book to find out more, and I bet you will be captivated by what you find, as I was.

I liked a lot about this book, but the first thing I would like to acknowledge is the author's courage in choosing to share his story and the way with which he didn't. I commend him for this courage. One thing I liked about this book is that it talked a lot about divorce and legal proceedings. The author's desire to gather proof by even going to extremes shows how custody works by default in these situations. 

I found no errors in this book, and I believe that it has been perfectly edited. I acknowledge the author for showing such editorial prowess, as it was really necessary to tell this story. There is nothing I dislike about this book. The execution in the narrative is flawless, and why shouldn't it be? After all, this is someone's life, right? 

I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars, and I recommend it to anyone who likes nonfiction books of a scandalous nature. This one will resonate well with them.
