Review of The Solution is Political Revolution
With the presidential seat fiercely being contended between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, I feel this is the best time for Americans to read a book that seeks to educate the populace on how the government functions and what Americans need to do to make themselves great again. From this book, I understood that there are individuals and organizations in America whose sole purpose is to divide the unity of American people to achieve personal goals. The decision-making in a nation is left in the hands of the elite few who control the government through their campaign donations, and then the fate of the rest of the populace is left in their hands.
Here the author tried to prove that Wall Street and Washington, DC’s greed and corruption were behind the mortgage crisis that once ravaged the United States. To secure the future of America, the government should encourage innovators to create 'real jobs.’ I have an engineering background and so do not really understand the whole economics of how the government works. After reading this book, I got more clarity on how the economy works.
Americans should, at all costs, discourage monopolies brought about by government buyouts because it reduces customers options and stifles innovation. The best time to read this book is now that the elections are pretty close. It is important for us to realize that even though the law was made for us to choose parts, the future policies will not affect us differently because we belong to different political parties, hence the need for us to unite and hold government ransom to do the right things.
I like that this book did not just criticize government but also pointed out what has been causing destruction to America and proposed possible solutions to the current American problem. For example, the author proposed the kickoff of a TV program called ‘America Has Ideas’ where 50 Americans, one per state, can be given an opportunity to present their innovation and be funded. This book fiercely challenged the status quo, letting us know that the future of America is in the hands of Americans and not the government. If the author of this book were to declare for presidency anytime soon, he has my vote already because I believe his convictions.
I have no drawbacks against Jillion R. Rising’s ‘The Solution is Political Revolution’ since it was excellently edited; I found no errors while reading through and, as such, will give it a rating of five out of five stars. This will be a good read for political analysts and freedom fighters.
