I had read another book by Kalliope Barlis (I think it's called "Phobia Relief" or something close to that; I can't remember as it was a while back), and I loved it. When I found this other book by her, I couldn't resist. This book is called "Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book," and it offers a unique and revolutionary approach to developing and improving your overall golf game. I honestly didn't know anything about golf, but now I'm interested. Unlike other typical manuals that focus solely on mechanics and equipment, Barlis also explores the various mental and strategic aspects of playing golf. Utilizing "Neuro-Linguistic Programming" (NLP) techniques, the author equips golf players, whether you are a total beginner, have some experience, or are a professional, with tools that can enhance your mental game and help you succeed in any game.

Structurally, the book is split into three parts: using your brain, practicing golf, and playing golf, and each section is packed with practical exercises and techniques designed to improve sensory input, focus, and consistency. One strategy, the 15:5 practice method, will help you improve on the quality of your practice and game play, as opposed to quantity, which many aim for.

I appreciate the fact that the practical advice and tips provided in the book are easy to follow and specifically structured for players of any skill level. The book includes detailed instructions and illustrations that are really helpful in understanding the content deeper. I also liked Barlis’s approach of sharing her personal insights and philosophical foundation around which she writes the book, since they make the book more enjoyable to read. For example, she is honest about the challenges she faced when she was starting to golf professionally in her mid-twenties, which is an age that is considered "late" by sports analysts. She succeeded despite the odds and shares the same tips she used with readers. I appreciate her dedication to helping people achieve their best in golf through this golf manual.

If you are a golfer looking for an approach you can use to improve your game, this book will be a nice choice. It is a must-read for anyone serious about the intricacies of golf, and because it lacks any obvious negative aspects, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. The editing was exceptionally and excellently well done, and there are no errors I found.
