I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. Jan Ryde's "When the Business is Love" offers a compelling review of the transformative power of love, passion, and empathy in the workplace. The idea that businesses may thrive if they prioritize their customers, employees, and communities over their profit line is explored throughout the book.

The author provides a unique perspective into how companies can operate. As the author contrasts with established business thinking that places profit over people, the general concept is to preach a more holistic approach with love and empathy at the forefront. This motivating and thought-provoking view challenges readers to re-examine the potential for companies to positively influence society.

My favorite features of the book are the case studies and well-integrated real-life examples. I was impressed by how well these were used that the author did in using a number of successful businesses that have used love as one of the guiding principles for business conduct, illustrating how such strategy had turned into quantifiable results. All these illustrations do much to prove the practicality of love-driven business concepts, crediting the author's claims.

It is full of practical tips and techniques on how one can concretely apply a love-based strategy in business. The author gives concrete advice on how to create a loving atmosphere within the company, build meaningful relations with clients, and establish a brand image that truly cares.

Another thing that I liked about the writing itself was the way it was so interesting and approachable; it makes hard ideas so simple to understand. The book is enjoyable to read because the author's interest in the subject is so evident throughout it.

This book has nothing to be disliked. I could not find a single mistake in this book, which speaks highly of the editing. Overall, because of its excellent organization, concise explanations, and logical flow that keeps readers interested throughout, this book is deserving of five stars. I would suggest this book to anyone who enjoys reading self-help literature and is curious about manifesting.
