Review of Snatched Up to Heaven!
"Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids” by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul shares the remarkable supernatural experiences of Priyanka and Deepika. It all begins when Priyanka, at just four years old, recounts a vivid dream about heaven, prompting further discussions that reveal both sisters have had visits to heaven and hell.
During their heavenly journeys, angels carry the girls' souls through the clouds and past the planets, adorned with colorful wings and landing on celestial grass. They describe meeting Jesus, who welcomes them and shows them around, explaining various aspects of heaven and its delights. They also observe that there is no sorrow in heaven and that the Bible exists as a guide. The book aims to glorify God and use the children’s testimonies to validate the truths of the Bible.
What I like most about this book is the profound sense of authenticity and innocence conveyed through the children's experiences. The detailed descriptions of Priyanka and Deepika's encounters provide a vivid and compelling narrative that is both touching and thought-provoking. For instance, the moment when the girls describe being carried by angels and flying past the planets, landing on the heavenly grass, resonates with a pure and unfiltered perspective that only children can provide. Their depiction of seeing Jesus and other biblical figures and the delightful ambiance in heaven bring these spiritual experiences to life in a relatable and accessible way.
One of the most striking elements is the consistency and sincerity in the children's recounting of their visits. The author, Jemima Paul, does an excellent job of presenting these stories without embellishment, allowing the readers to feel the genuine nature of these encounters. The narrative's authenticity is further reinforced by the alignment of the children's experiences with biblical scriptures, adding a layer of credibility and depth to their testimonies.
Overall, I found nothing to dislike about this book. Also, it has been exceptionally well edited. So, it earns a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
The book is most suitable for readers who are interested in spiritual and religious experiences, particularly those who seek to understand and connect with the concept of heaven from a biblical perspective. It is also an excellent read for parents and educators who wish to explore and discuss spiritual themes with children in a way that is both engaging and inspiring. The testimonies of Priyanka and Deepika serve not only to validate biblical truths but also to encourage readers to foster a deeper relationship with Jesus and to reflect on their own spiritual journeys.
