It is clear to the reader that the author believes the United States is in decline and has lost its essence and that today's Americans need to re-understand the values that founded the country.

What I liked most about this book is that it can be used as an introductory guide to American history. Even though the chapters are concise (and therefore not overly dense), nothing negative should be mentioned here. Since the author brilliantly delivered what he set out to do, this more simplistic analysis is positive, reaching a broader audience rather than being a flaw. Additionally, the book's editing is flawless, without grammatical errors.

Overall, America in Context: A Pursuit of the Exemplary is instructional, thought-provoking, and remarkable. The author has significantly succeeded in what he set out to do. A book without significant flaws deserves 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to those who like American history. It does not focus on any specific fact. It covers historical moments before and after the American Revolutionary War, before and after the American Civil War, and before and after the Jim Crow laws. The book does not contain profane words and does not contain sexual content, so there is no age restriction.
