Review of Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book
“Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book” by Kalliope Barlis, surpasses a lot of books in leading the way for people who desire to improve their golf regardless of whether they are weekender players or intending pros. This book is all about practical tips that have been blended perfectly to influence both the minds and bodies of golfers in making them better within a short period. Through it, one can see how much experience Barlis has from being a professional golfer and instructor.
The book’s organization is very meticulous since there are three main sections available: Using Your Brain, Practicing Golf, and Playing Golf. It is filled with activities and insights that can be used right away by anyone reading it. The initial one “Using Your Brain” stands out among the rest. Barlis does this by explaining Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques for golfers to employ their mind power to play golf better. In addition, she emphasizes on the importance of having a positive attitude, decision-making process and mindset which are fundamental in succeeding during any game. Barlis provides numerous different strategies for getting most out of practice sessions in “Practicing Golf.” She covers diverse areas like learning various skills or using mental techniques that facilitate learning processes. The best thing about it is that it contains practical exercises which can be done either on-course or off-course basis.
It thus becomes an all-round performance improvement guide for these cases where players cannot access good courses. Lastly, “Playing Golf” section entails application of what was learned while playing actual games. For instance, Barlis writes on scoring systems as well as how to deal with challenges while maintaining consistent results under pressure situations. This emphasis on goal setting and monitoring progress becomes important when one decides to take his or her sport to another level, also this book stand out in flawless editing.
In total, “Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book” is an authoritative guide comprising simplified approaches to golf in stages. Barlis’ writing style is quite clear and concise, coupled with that deep understanding of both physical and psychological sections of the game for which I can never thank her enough for. For all levels of golfers, this is a book that I will recommend to everyone who asks me for it. Thus I give it five out of five stars without any hesitation
