Review of Champions Needed
Champions Needed is a fascinating book written by Artell Smith that is geared towards the welfare of the seniors living in the care communities. It's an eye-opener for every reader. Aging is a natural process, and we have aged family. Through the concepts in this book, it would be easier to make the best decisions for the seniors around us.
The two main concepts used by the author interchangeably in this book are advocate and champion. These people play a vital role for seniors. These people are seen to be readily available for the seniors. Champions or advocates are very important to ensuring that the loved one is being cared for and provided with all they need. To become a successful advocate or champion, there are various skills that are required and also the responsibilities that need to be done. The author did justice to ensuring that every question needed to be answered concerning this topic was thoroughly explained at different points and chapters in the book. The author also gives different scenarios in different chapters for these skills and a better way to approach them. It’s a book with lots of knowledge you wouldn’t want to miss out on.
This is a very interesting book. Everyone would definitely grow to becoming a senior someday, so I feel like it’s an important book for all. First of all, I would want to commend the author of this book for making the seniors the priority and the main topic of discussion in this book, giving different ideas and principles that are in the best interest of the seniors. I also love how the author was able to research the challenges the seniors are facing and taking time to address these challenges in details. Another amazing thing about this book is that it would help those who aren’t seniors plan ahead. I had a great time reading this book because I learned a lot of things and the lessons were well arranged; everything came in order. I also didn’t notice any errors while reading, showing that the book was properly edited.
The only thing that I didn’t like about this book was the fact that the chapters weren’t visible enough; it would be difficult to notice when you got to a new chapter. Aside from this, it was a flawless read; hence, I would rate this book five out of five stars. Also, I would recommend this book to all the adults and seniors.

The Central Theme Revolves Around The Roles Of "Advocates" And "Champions," Terms That The Author Uses Interchangeably To Describe The Individuals Who Ensure That Seniors Receive The Care And Attention They Need. Smith Does An Exceptional Job Of Breaking Down The Responsibilities, Skills, And Challenges That Come With Being An Advocate Or Champion For The Elderly. The Book Provides Practical Guidance, Supported By Real-life Scenarios, Making The Concepts Easy To Grasp And Apply.
One Of The Standout Qualities Of "Champions Needed" Is The Author's Thorough Approach To Answering The Critical Questions Surrounding Senior Care. Each Chapter Is Dedicated To A Specific Aspect Of Advocacy, Ensuring That No Stone Is Left Unturned. The Author’s Research Is Evident, As He Not Only Identifies The Challenges Faced By Seniors But Also Offers Detailed Solutions And Strategies For Overcoming These Challenges. This Makes The Book Not Just Informative But Also A Valuable Resource For Anyone Involved In The Care Of Elderly Individuals.
Moreover, "Champions Needed" Is A Book For Everyone, Not Just Those Currently Caring For Seniors. It Serves As A Guide For Planning Ahead, Offering Insights That Are Relevant To All Adults Who Will Eventually Face The Realities Of Aging. The Lessons Are Presented In A Clear, Organized Manner, Making The Book An Enjoyable And Educational Read.
From An Editorial Standpoint, The Book Is Impeccably Done. I Did Not Encounter Any Typographical Errors, Which Speaks To The Quality Of The Editing. The Only Minor Flaw I Noticed Was That The Chapter Breaks Were Not Distinct Enough, Which Might Make It Difficult For Readers To Recognize When A New Chapter Begins. However, This Issue Is Relatively Minor And Does Not Detract From The Overall Reading Experience.

### Strengths:
1. **Inspiring Message:** The book is packed with examples and pro-triathlonist counselling, which is aimed at the development of the champion’s perception. All in all, Brooks focuses on the key points like passion, hardworking, discipline and self-confidence, which can inspire any person who wants to achieve his or her goal.
2. **Actionable Advice:** Brooks gives readers techniques and work that could be done to the improvement of the personal experience. This does not make the book a simple recitation of success stories; it is a self-help book.
3. **Engaging Writing Style:** The language Brooks uses is simple and rather unadorned, which helps to drive home the points she makes. The author is very enthusiastic and passionate about helping people get to the next level, this is seen throughout the book.
### Potential Drawbacks:
1. **Repetitive Themes:** Some of the readers could complain that the book has rather obvious themes and the author constantly reminds the readers about them. Topics like resilience and goal setting are very likely to be familiar to anyone who have read through some of the self-help books that are currently available.
2. **General Advice:** Although the book provides sound advice it may not always provide enough information or go far enough to suit some readers and their more specialised interests. T his might not even point out the specific difficulties of each and every reader.
### Conclusion:
All in all, ‘Champions Needed’ is a great book for those who seeks inspiration or those wants to get acquainted with the self-help genre. It should be especially useful for those people who like to use sport-related comparisons and who require motivation to change something in their lives. That being said, for the target audience of ‘self-help’ junkies the book may not bring a lot of novelties, but at the same time it provides quite a different outlook on what it means to be a champion.
