What is the one thing that every entrepreneur is concerned about? Is it making sales? Is it having the best in-demand product? Is it having a solid staff strength? While all these KPIs are essential to track the success of a business, there's one thing that every business owner should always be concerned about. This thing is called growth. You can make the same number of sales from quarter to quarter and the business isn't growing. In "Scale at Speed," Felix Velarde shows readers how to triple the size of their business in two years. The author calls it the 2Y3X system. Read this book to know the components of this system and how you can leverage it to grow your business.

Two things about this book appealed to me. First, the author leveraged his experiences to deliver the message of the book effectively. The author's openness and honesty were vivid as I read through the pages of this book. He did not placate the times he missed it or made mistakes. His words were so encouraging that readers would always see the need to take action to move their business forward. The author would say, "Any plan is better than no plan." The second thing that appealed to me was that the author backed up his experiences with credible research. This is evident in the materials the author referenced to develop this book. Readers would not just take the author by his words. There would be other sources to give credibility to the author's message.

This book offers many lessons about building and growing a business. One apparent lesson is to set up a growth lab team (GLT) instead of a senior management team. Most of the author's strategies revolved around sustainably setting up and running the GLT. The author did an excellent job dealing exhaustively with the subject and providing actionable tools for readers.

Even though most of the things the author shared will take a lot of rereading and revisiting to implement effectively, I appreciate the author for this book. There is nothing I dislike in this book. Therefore, I rate the book five out of five stars. This book is recommended to anyone who wants to see tremendous growth in their business.
