This book is a shorter version of the author's earlier work, 'Play Golf Better Faster: The Classic Guide to Optimizing Your Performance and Building Your Best Fast,' titled 'Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book.' So, the author also referred to this work as a handbook for golf guides.

The book is structured into three main sections: mental techniques, practice habits, and playing strategies. Each part is intended to assist golf players in improving their approach to the game, with a special emphasis on the mental aspects that frequently determine success or failure on the course. Barlis highlights the need to eliminate bad shots from memory, anchor good ones, and maintain a positive mindset. The author claims that by learning these mental strategies, players can realize their full potential and notice significant increases in their performance.

The author also offers practical guidance on how to practice effectively, emphasizing the importance of intentional and focused practice above simple repetition. The author emphasizes the necessity of visualizing the aim and focusing on specific components of the game during practice sessions. The playing methods section explains how to apply these mental and physical techniques during gameplay, including how to stay focused, handle stress, and maintain consistency.

The author expertly conveys the idea that golf is about more than simply physical prowess; it is also about mental fortitude and strategic thinking. The author's use of NLP techniques to assist golf players in reframe their thoughts and approaching the game with a positive attitude is effective. This emphasis on mental conditioning is a welcome change from the more technical, mechanics-oriented golf books that dominate the market.

The brief format is ideal for on-the-go reference, allowing users to rapidly locate and apply tips and methods during practice sessions or on the course. The book's practical exercises are also a big advantage since they present people with actionable strategies to enhance their game right away.

The editing of the book is excellent. The book is organized, with clear headers and subheadings to guide each part. The illustrative visuals and exercises are seamlessly incorporated. The book is perfect for adults and teenagers looking to improve their golf play. As the previous version was repetitive, it is not because it is shortened by removing these. So, I don't have any drawbacks about the book.

I would rate "Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book" five out of five stars. It is a concise, practical guide that offers valuable insights into the mental aspects of golf, with a particular focus on NLP techniques. It is a solid resource for golfers looking to improve their game quickly and effectively.
