Golf is one of the most difficult games in the world, but this does not deter Kolliope Barlis from writing a handbook on how to play the game and be a master at it.

"Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book" by Kalliope Barlis is a detailed handbook where the author teaches readers the art of using the mind and brain to play golf. With this handbook, the author illustrates and explains how to exert less physical strength in the game of golf, favouring target awareness over motor skills. In this book, Kalliope Barlis shows us how with our mind set on a goal and our brain set on determination, we can get anything done, not just in golf but in other aspects of our lives too. This author explains all these using Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), a technique where all your senses are applied when playing the game of golf through sights, sweet sounds, and feelings in order to achieve mastery in the game of golf.

I loved everything about this book. It was enlightening, detailed, simple, and straightforward. First, I love the fact that the author is a woman. It was inspiring and impressive to see a woman write a well-detailed handbook on a sport that is dominated by men. I loved how the author stuck to just telling her readers about golf without digressing from the topic. I also loved how she showed us how to apply the techniques she taught, not just to golf but to other aspects of our lives. The illustrations in the book were also really helpful and will come in handy to anyone who gets to read the book. Lastly, I really appreciated how most of the important details were broken down into points, which helped in the easy assimilation of the book.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because I was really impressed with the intentionality of the author’s writing, which was clearly evident in her comprehensive expressions in the book. I enjoyed the book and found it to be a short and enlightening read.

I would recommend this book to golf players, golf lovers, and anyone interested in learning the game of golf.
