Review of Reconfigurement
E. Alan Fleischauer's book Reconfigurement is a helpful resource with a wealth of information regarding retirement. Alan Fleischauer has made an effort to gather knowledge that is extremely beneficial to anyone who has recently begun working and is eager to secure their entire life on Earth, in addition to those who are approaching retirement. Planning is essential to reconfiguration. You are making plans for your post-retirement years.
Alan begins by informing the reader of two types of people: right-brain people—those who overcome obstacles to prosper—and left-brain people—those who plan for retirement, as he read in some books. Therefore, this book educates, counsels, and leads people to proper reconfiguration through financial guidance.
Alan Fleischauer has discussed many important factors to consider while designing your retirement package. This includes the role of income in arranging for your retirement, investment, the importance of social security, the importance of conducting self-assessment to know your true career, inborn skills, and work values, and how to plan for your healthcare in retirement.
Several factors made me love this book. The author applied a humorous writing style that couldn't allow the reader to get bored. Alan incorporated crackers in every chapter to refresh the reader with a smile. Most outstanding to me was that one on page 142, "My wife told me that if I gave her another stupid gift, she would burn it! So, I bought her a candle." Besides, Alan used humorous sample stories to stress his points. A good example is the story of Mr. Johnson. At some sections of the book, Alan would encourage the reader to skip the sections they felt turned them off. But was there any section that turned the reader off? I don't think. Every chapter resembled the other—rich in information that could not be skipped.
I did not see anything in the book to turn me off. However, I noted that the author emphasized his content concerning America's life. Alan referred to American state law, retirement plans, and taxation laws. I wish he could leave it with no reference to a specific setting, as the book is helpful to many people around the globe.
I give this book a 5 out of 5-star rating. I was amazed by the professional and flawless editing. No spelling errors were noted. Reconfigurement is a book that is rich in information to help one plan for life beyond retirement. Reading this book is a turning point in life and one reconfigures financial plans to fit a life one wishes to live beyond retirement. I recommend the book to young people who have just been employed, those who have started earning an income from their business, and those nearing retirement. This book will help them plan.
