Review of Snatched Up to Heaven!
This is a non-fiction account written by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul titled "Snatched Up to Heaven!," which gives an insight into their young children, Priyanka and Deepika, who claim to have gone to heaven and hell through dreams and visions. The book helps the reader envision these spiritual realms as seen by the children, while Jemima, the mother of the girls, goes further to provide explanations of these revelations and relates them in accordance with the scripture.
The reason why this narrative is so striking is that Priyanka was merely four years old, while Deepika was two years old, yet they were able to recall the details of what they had experienced. Their vivid descriptions of heaven include golden thrones, twinkling angels, and various animals, whereas those of hell consist of burning flames, ugly demons, and tormented souls. In order to make their visions meaningful in Christian teachings, Jemina Paul draws parallels between their experiences described in her book with relevant biblical verses.
It’s also a revelation for Christians, pointing out that living upright lives will lead them to heaven, but if otherwise, then they will go straight into the sufferings of hell, from which no redemption can be found. Additionally, it’s well-written with clear narration filled with thoughtful explanations, therefore making it readable for anyone familiar with Bible stories.
One of the best things about this book is how it captures the simplicity and the profundity of children’s descriptions of heaven and hell, which are both so vivid and moving. Despite their young ages, Priyanka and Deepika offer detailed accounts of their experiences, filled with childlike wonder and purity. The way Jemima Paul skillfully interprets these visions and aligns them with scripture gives credence to what they say, thus making it not only an interesting read but a spiritual guide consistent with Christian beliefs. This combination of childlike faith and scriptural wisdom creates a powerful narrative that is both enlightening and moving.
My rating for this book is 5 out of 5 stars because it successfully combines childlike innocence with deep spiritual insight. The author has a good writing style that makes one read even from the first page. There is nothing I dislike about the book. The book is professionally edited because I found only one error in it.
I would recommend this book to any Christian parent or Sunday school teacher who wants a fresh approach to help children engage in conversation about faith and righteousness.
