Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis is a comprehensive guide to moving from a novice to a pro golfer in little time. The book is divided into three parts: part one, using your brain; part two, practicing golf; and part three, playing golf. In the first part, the author tries to condition the readers' minds because when we have our minds in the right mindset, we get to think better and, in turn, play better. In this part, the author introduces neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). The author called this the ultimate tool for playing golf, as it works with how we think as our five senses take in the world. We have the second part, which talks about practicing golf. Here, we put all of the mental work done in part one to use to practice golf and develop excellent golfing skills. After conditioning our minds and learning what needs to be learned, practicing, and developing our skills, we put that knowledge into playing the game.

I loved the questions added at the start of Part 2 of this book. As a non-golf player, I could tell what answering those questions did to my mindset. I have applied that line of questioning to my everyday tasks. If something is worth my time, then I will ask these questions to have a clear goal I am working towards. If you want to find out about this question, pick up this book and read it. Even though it contains golfing terms, the questions and content of the book can be refined to suit whatever goal we are trying to achieve. I also loved that the author included diagrams to explain most points in the book. This was especially helpful, as I have never played the game, but I understood what information was being passed. The illustrations were so detailed that anyone who reads the book and has never even played the game before could score some points.

I do not have any negative aspects to this book. The book is well-rounded, as there is also a notice for left-handed golfers. The book was finely edited with very minimal errors that did not affect my understanding of the book. I rate this book five out of five stars for its helpful content. This book is recommended for anyone who wishes to engage in the sport. The wealth of information in the book would help you develop into a pro golfer.
