When I picked up this book, Winning at Leading Women In Leadership by Ronica Watkins, PhD, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it is truly power-packed with knowledge to help anyone make a good shift in their life. The author gave me a fresh concept of what leadership truly is. At first, I felt that being a leader, or in a leadership position, meant that you had to be the boss and tell everybody what to do constantly. However, the author teaches that leadership is much more than that. The first thing I learned when I started to read was never to stop being a student. From the author's point of view, learning never truly ends, and the greatest leaders are good learners. In the author's words, being a leader means knowing your mission, being transparent and decisive, and being able to communicate properly with your members.

In the present time, women are not usually the ones to look up to in society. Therefore, the author encourages women to speak up more and not hide behind the shadows. She emphasizes that if women can be bolder and more outspoken, they will truly stand on the frontlines of society, thereby producing better change. She didn't just stop there; she emphasized women's challenges, which have kept them as random characters in society's books rather than authors. She taught that being prepared, present, and persistent will go a long way in amplifying women's confidence when communicating.

I learned so much while reading this book, and the author is not just a writer to me; she is also a teacher. It was very easy for me to follow through with what she was teaching. Her points and opinions are realistic and actually easy for anyone who wishes to put them into practice. This book is well-written and flows beautifully.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this book. If you're ever in a place where you need to make a major shift, this book will guide you, as the lessons learned here can help anyone in any area of their life, including their jobs and careers.

This book was well-edited and flawless. I spotted no grammar errors while reading it. For being very educational and a game changer, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars, and I recommend it to women and people who want to make a major change in their lives and careers as a whole.
