All You’ll Never Be: Because of Who You Are by E. L. Neve was a short but adorable read with a sweet child-like-wonder feeling to it. I rate this book a 5 out of 5.

This soft-spoken book of thoughts is almost like poetry; it’s intended to help bring peace and insight into your life through deep words and melodic sounds. The author created vivid imagery through their words, and I found their use of metaphors to be well-placed and delightful to hear. The music between each part was unique and quite surprising to hear at first, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the melody “Daydream” after part three. Quite impressive, that E. L. Neve not only wrote this little book, but narrated it, and created/performed all the music!

Since I listened to All You’ll Never Be: Because of Who You Are on Audible, I didn’t get to see the original illustrations intended to go along with the story. I do wish I could’ve seen them! Although I thought the short melodies between each part were a wonderful and smart substitution for the illustrations.

As I previously stated, I listened to this book on Audible, so I couldn’t physically see any spelling or grammar mistakes. There were a few uncounted errors, one relating to a sentence that was hard to understand. I thought the overall pacing and recorded audio for the narration was of great quality and held a nice flow; I also found the narrator’s voice to be extremely soothing. The only other criticism I have is that this book is so short-lived! And I mean that nicely; I didn’t want it to come to an end!

Overall, All You’ll Never Be: Because of Who You Are by E. L. Neve is a unique read I’d recommend to just about anyone looking to bring a little peace and acceptance of self to their life. In a short amount of time, this story can change your mindset to be just a bit more positive, and that’s something every person could stand to gain.
