Review of The Solution is Political Revolution
The book "The Solution is Political Revolution" by Jillion R. Rising tries to prove that Wall Street, the Federal Reserve, and the U.S. government all have a hand in the diminishing status of the financial well-being of Americans. The author, in a detailed analysis, identifies the longstanding deceptions that have allowed greed and systemic corruption to flourish, leading to significant economic disasters, with reference to the mortgage crisis that happened in 2008. He argues that the media contributes to political extremism, making sure that the people do not see the true issues but rather divert their attention from addressing the true sources of economic inequality. The author also warns of the threats posed by corporate monopolies and criticizes inefficient government fiscal policies, advocating for innovation and private sector growth as solutions. The book went further to scrutinize policies such as the Affordable Care Act and the fiat currency system, painting a bleak picture of a future plagued by debt and austerity with preferred solutions such as substantial reforms that must be implemented.
One thing I must commend about this book is the ideas that the author tries to show his points with. He urges fundamental political change in order to save us from a bleak future. Furthermore, he advocates for direct democracy through referendums, tighter lobbying regulations, and high salaries for government officials, among other measures meant to curb corruption. After presenting his arguments, the author proposes an ideal solution, such as forming a new political group called the Logician Party that aims at going beyond partisan politics and promoting true democratic governance. Throughout the book, he stresses unity and collective action in defying the status quo towards achieving a political revolution that reclaims national wealth and reinstates democratic values.
There is nothing to hate about this book. The book’s criticism of US economics and politics, however, contends that collusion among the rich has eroded citizens’ wealth and welfare. It is a brilliant mix of piercing analysis and zealous argumentation.
For many reasons, I would rate this book five out of five stars, and it is because of its excellent analysis, passionate argumentation, and hopeful vision for the future. It’s a greatly edited book with no errors in grammar, and I must say congratulations to the editor for a good piece of work.
This book is a must-read for anyone who wants to know about political reforms, economic justice, and compassion for a change in society; hence, you need to buy it.
