E. Alan Fleischauer provides a clear guide to financial preparation for retirement. Aimed at people in their middle years who want to rethink their money management, the book shares practical strategies and new ideas for building a strong retirement plan. Drawing on his experience in finance, Fleischauer covers topics like income protection, retirement planning, disability insurance, and investments, giving readers the tools they need to secure their financial future.

What I liked about Reconfigurement is how practical it is. Fleischauer does a fantastic job of breaking down complex financial concepts using real-life scenarios and examples, which made it much easier for me to grasp the ideas. I also liked that the language is straightforward and free of jargon, which I had expected to encounter in a book on this topic. The author adds a touch of humor throughout the book, making the content not only informative but also enjoyable to read. This approach makes the subject matter, which can often be intimidating, more engaging and fun to read.

There was nothing I disliked about the book. Despite being crucial for everyone, school curricula rarely include financial literacy. This book provides fresh, practical ideas relevant to today’s financial world and will surely encourage readers to reflect on and rethink their financial approach. Fleischauer impressively keeps the book concise and focused, avoiding unnecessary details that could bore readers or make the advice seem impractical. It is well-edited and free of typographical errors.

I give Reconfigurement 5 out of 5 stars because it contains invaluable information. Although the author primarily targets those nearing retirement, the book's insights are equally beneficial for younger readers. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about getting their finances in order, regardless of age, as early retirement planning is crucial for long-term financial security. This book is a worthwhile read for anyone looking to build a solid foundation for their future.
