The book "Reconfigurement" by E. Alan Fleischauer explores life after retirement. It addresses how many people, both in America and globally, approach retirement without sufficient planning. The author argues that reconfiguration planning involves more than just preparing ahead. The book covers a range of topics including post-retirement life, pensions, strategies for continuing life after retirement, and the challenges of inadequate planning.

Imagine retiring or quitting your job without a solid plan or investment strategy. This book provides valuable insights on why and when to make proper plans to avoid future inconveniences. "Reconfigurement" explains why investments and insurance, including healthcare insurance, are crucial at various stages of life. The writer believes that people should not over-rely on pensions. He goes further to talk about the importance of ensuring that our career choices align with our happiness. Additionally, the author emphasizes that life insurance is not only for ageing baby boomers but can also be beneficial for parents planning for their growing children.

One thing I loved about this book was the humorous tone of the writer. Although the topic might not initially thrill many readers, the humorous scenes and language will draw them in and make them want to learn more. I also appreciated that the writer provided links to websites explaining certain concepts.

I gained a lot of knowledge from this book, as I previously believed that retirement planning only involved planning. I think even very young readers would find this book informative. While reading, I found nothing to dislike. The narratives were simple and easy to understand. I would rate this book five out of five stars due to its lack of grammatical errors, which indicates thorough editing.

This book earns my recommendation because of its valuable message. I would suggest it to those interested in learning more about retirement planning, such as baby boomers and financial advisors.
