Life Hacks (Preparing Yourself for Life) by Robert S. Roussey addresses key areas required for people to succeed in their careers and even in their lives down to retirement. Written for teenagers and young adults, Roberts provides proven steps on how to plan one's life and achieve much in life. With personal examples, he outlines some of the various ways these steps had transformed his life. Knowing the things written in this book can be advantageous to anyone who picks it up to read. With principles at the beginning of each chapter, the author lays his emphasis and draws the minds of the readers to the point he's trying to make in each chapter. I thoroughly enjoyed how precise and clear the author's points were. It would have been difficult for his target audience to learn from and enjoy this book if it were written otherwise. In fact, this book is so good that everything that was mentioned in it is required to succeed.
How Robert also includes his story or experience with each topic he addressed in this book backs up the practicality of his points. I did not find anything to dislike about it. I also enjoyed going through his curriculum vitae, as this encouraged me that there is more I can still achieve if I am dedicated to doing so. I found only one grammar error, but it was not enough to distract me from the lessons in this book, which implies that the book was professionally edited.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because I learned a lot from it, and I believe anyone who picks it up to read regardless of where they are in their life journey will have one or two things they could also pick from the book. I recommend it not just to teenagers or young adults but to everyone aiming for success in their career and ultimately in life. Anyone about to choose a career path will also find it very insightful.
