Snatched Up to Heaven! by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul is a heart-warming piece about two young girls and their visions of heaven and hell. They tell of the splendor and beauty of heaven, the gold and the magnificence of God, and of hell; they describe the pain and intense torture of lost souls.

Priyanka and Deepika were four and two years old, respectively, when they encountered heaven and hell. Their mother was ready to write it off as childish hallucinations or make belief stories from their children's Bible class as she was plagued with doubts about the authenticity of their tale. Everything changed after her children detailed the story to her. Still cautious about the truth of their encounter, the author digs into the scriptures and finds scriptural backing that confirms her daughters' stories. The encounters of these two young girls are indeed quite thought-provoking, as they enumerate the perfection of heaven and the deep unpleasantness of hell. In summary, the author urges readers to commit to Christ's lifestyle, as he is the answer to a beautiful eternity.

I appreciate the meticulousness of the writers in piecing this book together. They were cautious to create a distinction between what the girls experienced and their interpretation of the event. The interpretation showcased depth, more than the limited vocabulary of the little girls. Furthermore, I love the inclusion of scriptural backing as it gave high credibility to the girls' story and brought to mind the truth about the afterlife that we may have once read but have forgotten.

When I read the book initially, I had doubts about the truth of the girls' encounters, but as I read further along, I couldn't help but marvel at the realization of an actual encounter, as the details were too blazing to pass off as a coincidence. I also couldn't imagine the shock of Jemima and Arvind Paul as they listened to their daughters for the first time narrate an experience that only a chosen few get to see. I appreciate the parents for trusting their children and not allowing the fear of doubts to hold them back from getting the word out there. It is a huge responsibility and a brave move.

There is absolutely nothing I dislike about this book. However, I have some reservations about some parts, like God and Jesus being the same age and the presence of a ghost in heaven. But then, I understand that this was narrated by little children who may still have difficulty expressing themselves. Nevertheless, the book is straight to the point, concise, and straightforward. It doesn't pander but hits the truth right on the head. Also, the book is exceptionally edited and lacking of errors. For these reasons, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to Christians and any other interested reader who may be curious about what the afterlife may look like. This book is an excellent read for you.
