Life is a risk. If you’re going to make it in life, you must be ready to take risks at certain points in your life. It is on this note that Mika puts together this small book on stock market investment titled “The Small Stock Trader.” In this book, the author digs into his experience in stock trading to share what he believes will help anyone, especially newbies, navigate the uncertain waters of stock trading. If you want to invest in stocks, I recommend you get this book as a quick guide before making your first move.

One attractive feature of this book is the author’s practical approach to teaching stock trading. There are no references or citations to any published material to support the points in this book. Everything the reader will read in this book comes from the author’s practical experience in the stock market. It becomes more interesting when you realize that this book is written by a young author. At 30 years of age, the author already has a truckload of experience to share in stock trading. The practical advice he shares will help readers massively. One of the things that I find instructive is that the author advises focusing on a few stocks that you are conversant with rather than investing in so many stocks you know nothing about. The author also advises readers to keep a close eye on investors who monitor the management of any company they invest in its stocks.

Although the primary objective of this book was to show readers practical ways to succeed in stock market investment, the author also took a detour into other issues that readers would find beneficial. One of those was when it would seemingly be ideal for a man to get married. The author made a compelling argument on this issue. However, I'd allow readers to find out the author’s position on the matter when they read the book. The book also touched on other things like the trade war between China and America.

I enjoyed reading this short book. I finished it in one sitting. There was nothing I disliked in the book. If there would be any need for improvement, it would be to eliminate the errors I found in the book. However, the errors did not detract from the awesomeness of the book. Therefore, I’d rate it five out of five stars.
