Thinking About Becoming a Real Estate Developer? by Ted Ihde is a book that will direct you on the career path of being a real estate developer. The book delves into various areas of real estate development, including individual property acquisition, real estate financing, home loans and interest rates, tax-incremental financing, and home redevelopments. The author sheds light on many areas associated with real estate development, equipping real estate developers with the necessary knowledge needed to thrive in the real estate market.

The entire book was very insightful, with the quote by John Jacob Astor, "Buy on the fringe and wait. Buy land near a growing city! Buy real estate when other people want to sell. Hold what you buy!” being a real eye-opener. The author carefully described the risks and benefits of each possible venture taken in real estate and also gave very helpful insight to prospective home buyers on ways of acquiring beneficial home loans. Despite the fact that this book was geared towards enlightening real estate developers, it will also be helpful to intending homeowners. This book cites opportunities one could take as an intending homeowner and also offers advice on home building and rehabilitation.

Everything about this book was concise and well explained; there was nothing I did not like about the book. The author's explanation of every relevant term in the real estate market, down to the processes and templates given for each action taken in real estate development, is a great resource for those seeking to forge careers, those who already have a foothold in real estate development, and every home buyer.

I would give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because it gave a lot of insight into home sales and marketing strategies, providing and acquiring affordable housing alongside redevelopment. There were no errors in this book; it was expertly edited. Highly recommended for all aspiring real estate developers, home sellers, builders, and home buyers.
