[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "FLAUNT! Drop Your Cover and Reveal Your Smart, Sexy and Spiritual Self" by Lora Cheadle.]
According to the author, life is not a battle to be fought or an agenda to be accomplished. It’s a grand burlesque to be enjoyed. FLAUNT! Drop Your Cover and Reveal Your Smart, Sexy and Spiritual Self, authored by Lora Cheadle, is a practical guide on how to find your sparkle, be seen for who you really are and not what society wants you to be, and live life on your own terms. It highlights the three-act structure to FLAUNT—to unapologetically reveal all that there is to us and live our truth.
Over time, women have been forced to conform to societal standards. Women are scared to live their truth because it’s not in line with the norms or because of what people will say. The author shared her story on how she went from being a career woman with a supposedly perfect life to living her authentic and genuine life. Every woman wants and needs to be seen, and to be seen, we have to put ourselves out there, in our most genuine and authentic form. This book walks the readers through the process of rising above limiting beliefs, taking off their covers, and finding their sparkle eventually.
This book resonated deeply with me. The author’s perspective was relatable, so I could see clearly through her lens. Her personal stories and experiences added a colorful layer of authenticity to the story, making it feel genuinely real. Her warm and engaging tone drew me in completely, and I found myself deeply immersed in her words. The step-by-step processes were especially beneficial; they provided clear and straight-to-the-point guidance that made the goal easier to accomplish. Reading this book was more than a fun exercise; it inspired me to reflect on my own path and live a more fulfilling life.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this book. It is a beautifully crafted work of art. The pacing was great; the author took her time to drive home her point, and no part felt rushed. She also provided materials for readers that might need further help, and that was very thoughtful. I loved the fact that she put her story out there for readers to be inspired by; there were so many lessons to draw from her experience. Overall, this book was an excellent read.
I’d rate this book five out of five stars for it’s timeless and inspiring contents. I didn’t find any grammatical or spelling errors while reading, which is a testament to its perfect editing. I’d recommend this book to any woman who wants to be seen for who she truly is.
