“Emotional Cure for Autism” by Norio Ando is a self-help book on autism for parents of such kids. The author explains what emotions are to children, autism especially being a barrier to emotional understanding. It is sub-divided into chapters that present and explain what such emotions as fear, happiness or love and others transform from infancy, and how each stage of emotion shifts into the next one with time. Ando offers very effective treatment strategies which makes it easy to consume both by the parents as well as the professional’s caregiver. The emotions covered in this book are contribution to children’s activity, e.g., Counseling concerning fun, rest and relaxation. the book is intended for parents, teachers and, not least, for every person who wants to understand the emotions hidden behind the actions of a child suffering from autism.

This book appealed to me the most as it presents a coherent emotional outline which enhances my comprehension of the emotional world of autistic children. I was impressed by Norio Ando's system of emotions which are: tensioned, excited, and relaxed as it enabled me understand the influence of each on behaviors. This categorization makes complex emotional dynamics much clearer.

In particular, I enjoyed the practical work that Ando offers. To illustrate, he proposes interspersing the tickling effect in between states of rigidity and movement, thus turning his content into a practical aid for caregivers like me. Each chapter of the book is also well structured in that it deals with one described emotional. This logical order of doing things has helped me to move from one abstract concept to others in the of the movement from the tensioned emotion to the relaxed one. Still, this book was very insightful and always answered the question posed to people engaged in the care of a child with autism.

Emotional Cure for Autism should not fail to rate 5 out of 5 stars as it demonstrates an all-embracing emotion centered approach, practical therapies, and logical flow. These elements make it an invaluable resource for understanding and supporting autistic children. There's nothing I could dislike about this book. I highly recommend it to parents and teachers who work with autistic children, as it provides essential insights and strategies for better interactions. This book was exceptionally edited.
