Review of mindful self discipline
Mindful self-discipline by Emily Bliss is a self-help book or guide on how to be disciplined in attempting to achieve ones goals. As the title suggests, this book gives us a framework that one can apply in his or her daily lives in order to not get tired when trying to reach their goals. This book contains high-quality information about discipline and building courage and resistance to anything life throws at you. This book helps its readers unlock habits and self-control one needs when achieving a certain goal.
I can boldly say I've learned quite a number of things while reading this book, and I am applying it to my life as of right now. I have built quite a high level of discipline in quite the number of things I used to do that hindered my progress towards my goals, and I assure you that once you finish reading this book, you will also. Before you are able to build self-discipline in your life, you need to know the things that keep you from achieving your goals, and in this book you will just that. The first chapter talks about understanding your habits and the loop at which we are constantly trapped. One key step in this guide, and the very first I feel you should know is to become aware of the specific habits and loops operating in our lives; once you can identify them, you can move on from there, and this book guides you through that. Once you've been able to identify those loops, now you can build up self-discipline and rewire your brain for success. All these are just bits of this wonderful book, and I assure you, reading it won't be a waste of time.
I rate this self-help book five out of five stars because I can't think of any reason to deduct points from my ratings. It was well and properly edited with no single error. The vocabulary was also easy to understand; there was no use of extreme or high grammar, and the information was delivered with great efficiency as it wasn't too bulky to read. I also did appreciate how the chapters and subchapters in the book were clearly stated and classified so as to make its readers not get confused while reading. Each chapter was broken down into subchapters, and that helped me to digest the contents of the book properly. I also did appreciate the little quotes at the beginning of the chapters; it was a great motivator for me. I recommend this book to teenagers and adults who are looking for motivation or the drive to achieve their goals.
