Book Review: "The Small Stock Trader" by Mika

This book by Mika is a superbly written stock market book. The book starts with the traits of a small stock trader, explains how to choose a few "small" stocks, and ends with psychology. I picked up this book with an expectation to find a ready-made tool to make huge money in the stock market. But soon I realized that it was not the correct approach to working in the stock market. Mika has succeeded in making an imprint on my mind that a holistic approach is a must if one wants to make real money in the stock market.

The book is easy-to-understand and provides guidance for a small stock trader to walk on the rough road of stock trading. Reading is made engaging by cleverly weaving quotes from great authors and scientists like Baron Rothschild, Charles Mackay, Leonardo da Vinci, and Charles Darwin, to name a few, and Zen into the narrative. I personally like to read words of wisdom, so it was a great treat for me. The book is focused on small but realistic goals and their achievement through developing and approaching the stock market with the correct mindset.

The book does not try to sell the holy grail or any magical formula; it just puts your mind back on track with the important things for trading. The best thing about the book is that it narrowed down the very vast techniques of fundamental analysis to very few. It would definitely help a "small stock trader" to approach the stock selection process with clear directions by analyzing a company's financial performance.

Numerous books on investment are available, but this book is different. It is valuable. As the author says, one may need to reread some parts of it. The book will serve as your faithful companion on the path to financial independence through the stock market.

There is nothing to dislike in the book. The book has been edited exceptionally well, as I did not find any errors or mistakes in the writing. I would gladly give the book five out of five stars, for being a short and concise guide to the needful.
