In Jiddu Krishnamurti World Philosopher Revised Edition Christine V. Williams presents the life and work of one of the most enigmatic individuals of the twentieth century, Jiddu Krishnamurti. From the discovery of Krishnamurti at fourteen on a beach by Leadbeater of the theosophical society to his revolt against it in 1929, this book takes the reader through the life of this great philosopher. Williams gives a detailed description of Krishnamurti complex entanglements, such as the love triangle between Krishnamurti and Rosalind and her husband. Laden with numerous examples, it contains Krishnamurti’s message to liberate oneself from the past and begin to see the present. Krishna traveled all over the world as he spoke the wisdom of the ages to those that were willing to listen. Christine evidently shows how the young lad and Nityananda, his brother of three years, were adopted after numerous court hearings with Annie Besant, the children's adoptive mother, winning over Narayaniah, their biological father.

In my opinion, Jiddu Krishnamurti: World Philosopher can be considered an interesting and enlightening read. The author's journalistic approach ensures a balanced portrayal, free from idealized or overly critical interpretations of Krishnamurtia's life. I like the author’s objective stance, as she highlights Krishnamurti's contributions to philosophy while acknowledging his flaws. This makes for a compelling, well-rounded view of a man whose teachings continue to inspire spiritual seekers.

The strength of the book is its focus on its research and a very logical and systematic presentation of the information. Christine's journalistic approach helps to simplify biographical aspects of the book that might be confusing. However, there are a lot of names with elongated pronunciations that make it difficult to identify people. Additionally, overly descriptive passages sometimes interrupt the narrative flow. The book is well-formatted, and I did not find any errors, which contributed positively to the reading experience.

Overall, Jiddu Krishnamurti: World Philosopher gets a good rating of 4 out of 5 stars. Some aspects are presented in great detail, but overall, due to Williams’ vast research and concise style, the book is a useful biography. I suggest it to people who have a love for philosophy and spirituality and the readers who are fascinated by the personalities that revolutionize the world’s view. This biography is very informative and goes a long way in showing why Krishnamurti is still important to today’s society.
