Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book is a guide to playing better golf. Kalliope Barlis provides well-analyzed insights on learning golf in this book.

The book is split into three parts. The first part describes the use of the brain in golfing. This part connects techniques to arouse our minds and senses towards golf. The next part focuses more on practicing golfing and many points to keep in mind during golf practice. These points are provided elaborately to handle practice sessions and also to retain the outcomes of these sessions. This part gives tactics to efficiently utilize the practice sessions for golf. It also suggests the best ways to handle the golfing scenarios, like shots done uphill, side hills, etc. The last part guides the reader on practices to use for improving his/her golf game. It analyzes physical strategies like wind, slope, and territorial calculations along with mental strategies like the attitude used while golfing. Most of the book considers the impact of a positive attitude in golfing. Thinking how the player assures him/herself that he/she is going to make a hole-in-one shot before playing the shot would directly impact the quality of the shot as explained by the author. Also, tactics like a positive approach towards whatever the result comes from our action. For example, in the first part of Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book, Kalliope Barlis speaks about how every shot is a good shot and that every shot teaches something new. We can find strategies for learning golfing and even things other than golf in the book.

After reading the book, the major positive aspect that I have noted is that the advice on playing golf is also linked with life situations by the author. At the start of the book itself, the author gives reading suggestions, like how to read this book as a left-hander. Thorough research on the game and strategies is seen in the author's writing. Techniques like swish patterns are described in a reader-friendly way. Sufficient references in between pages are provided along with illustrations. The author even provides ways to correct the traditional mistakes made by golfers, like topping, chunking, etc. She even backs up her guidance with sufficient physics behind her tactics.

The negative aspect that I noticed while reading this book is that there are repetitions of the same story or context. The author could have at least connected the two instances of mentions of the same stories. This is not a big backdrop but a point of improvement from my perspective.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars, as I liked the content delivery in the book, which kept up strongly while reading. The book is professionally edited, and I could not find any errors or typos.

I would recommend this book to golfers who are seeking to improve their game, even if they are professionals. As this book has many positively motivating life hacks, I would recommend this to anyone who needs to overcome failures.
