Review of Snatched Up to Heaven!
Snatched up to Heaven is an astounding testimony of heaven and hell from the mouths of babes by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul that detailed the dream of these young girls about heaven, as well as the children's prophecy about the end times. According to the author's intention, “My intention is that you, the reader, can thus form your own conclusions, comparing the material to the only proven infallible source—the Word of God.” This book has been compared accordingly, and I can say that everything attests to the fact that revelations, as well as dreams, are spiritual exercises that deeply entail realities from the scriptures and that God can use anybody for the delivery of his message to generations.
The author was rightly able to explain and differentiate dreams from visions, making her research from Webster’s Dictionary as well as including biblical references. “A dream is a series of thoughts, images, or emotions occurring during sleep. A vision is something seen other than by natural sight—prophetic sight.” One difference between dreams and visions as found in the Bible is that dreams are received while the person is sleeping while visions are received while the person is awake, and they are often “in the Spirit.” Moreover, two people cannot be having the same dream at the same time.”
The part of this book I loved the most was the part of clarification regarding a simple question that we all find difficult to get a direct answer to. Even though we get an answer, it is still not enough to bring us out of confusion. The author made the answer simple, succinct, and well-dispersed. “This begs the question—does their testimony contradict Jesus, who said, ‘No man has ascended to heaven except the Son of Man” (John 3:13)? Not necessarily. Jesus is the only one who ascends to His Father on His own. Others cannot ascend themselves but can be snatched by God to heaven.” The author also gave scriptural references and examples of people being snatched up to heaven: “Enoch (see Genesis 5:24), Elijah (see 2 Kings 2:11), and Paul (see 2 Corinthians 12:2–4).”.
Snatched up to Heaven explains a journey to eternity (Heaven), the pathways to it (Carried by angels, Up high beyond the cloud, Pushed by the wind, As Though Time Stood Still, A peek into the Future), and how heaven was like (The city of pure gold, as pure as glass, The Holy City, the new Jerusalem, Heaven was sparkly and very pretty). It was made of gold—light golden on the outside and dark golden on the inside—meeting Jesus (He looked handsome!). Jesus was big and tall with light-colored skin. He had brown hair up to the shoulder and wore a mustache and beard. The author was also able to put the rules and principles in heaven as revealed to Priyanka and Deepika into detail, making it understandable by the readers.
The concept of Hell, which might seem scary, was also discussed appropriately, making everyone understand that eternal punishment, the hotness of Hell, fire everywhere, the strong smell of urine, stools, and other burning smells, people screaming and crying in pain, gross darkness, worms that grew into snakes, and the burning of people in the fire of Hell is real and not a fallacy. The kids’ vision was really impactful, most especially in creating awareness that spirituality is real and that heaven is the best place to be and not otherwise.
This book is well detailed and well structured, but I feel there can be more improvement in making it more interconnected to all religions because this book is more of a Christian book. And, I suggest that the author can also help insert images in between the pages of the book so as for the reader to be able to visualize and have a direct picture of what the book entails. But I must really rate this book a perfect 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who is seeking more understanding about what the journey to the supernatural really entails. This book is the best to read in that regard, and you can be assured that clarity is certain.
