I come from an average income-earning family. Honestly, I am currently in the scariest and most delicate stage of my life. I need to start fighting for my future and cope with being independent. Of course, I am so eager to be successful, which is why I need to take my future and career seriously. I have faced some embarrassing moments where all I did was smile openly and cry bitterly inside. Why do I have to share this? I came across this mind-blowing book, Is Life Happening to You or Are You Happening to Life? by Salina Womack, and to be honest, I can’t explain how joyful I am to have read it.

Just as I opened this book and started reading, I began to relate to what the author was saying immediately. The author also elaborated on Abraham Maslow's five-tier model of human needs, which is very important in self-actualization. The author's journey is amazing, and it was something I learned a lot from. The part where the author talked about that big moment that changed everything was amazing. I related to this part very well because at some point when I was struggling, I had to make a big decision, which has been helpful so far. The author also shares some great men and women whose teachings, books, and talks can be essential in self-actualization. This book is worth reading, I must say.

This book happens to be one of the best self-help books I have read this year, and I cherish every moment I spend reading this book because it teaches, corrects, and advises. And the approach used by the author to actualize these was very exceptional. I want to commend the author for this life-transforming read. Another mind-blowing concept the author talked about was restrictive thinking. We saw how this could limit us so much. The writing style used in this book was great. I don’t think anyone would struggle to read this book as the concepts were well explained. The editing was also amazing; I just noticed one error, which was very minor.

This book was straightforward and provided many life-changing tips. I didn’t find anything to dislike or criticize. It was top-notch. Hence, I would rate this book five out of five stars based on what has been said so far. I also would recommend this book to lovers of self-help reads and young adults.
