It's so sad and heartbreaking to imagine the cruel and inhumane things Black people have experienced throughout history. They were not just hunted down and taken away from their homes, but they were also forced into slavery. They were sold like chattels and forced to work on plantations without any pay. Even after the abolition of slavery, Africans were still treated very inhumanely, and some were even killed due to lynching. But did they really deserve such cruelty? Are they not just humans like everyone else? To find out more about slavery and the treatment of Blacks in America, please get yourself a copy of the book Anti-Black Prejudice In America by Anders Eklof.

There are several things I liked about this book. I liked that the author unraveled several historical events spanning over 200 years. To be precise, the author gave information about when Black slaves first arrived in America up to the events that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. A notable and well-known event of racism and police brutality is the killing of George Floyd. There are other events the author talked about, too, such as Martin Luther's speech, lynching events, and Harriet's contribution to freeing fellow Blacks from slavery by escaping through the Underground Railroad.

Another thing I liked was that the author provided photos of the events and people they talked about. In the book, you will find photos of lynching events, riots, and murders. You will also find photos of people such as Angela Davis, Walter White, Martin Luther King, and Huey Newton, among others. These photos helped me get visual imagery of exactly what the author was talking about.

There is nothing I disliked about this book, and it seems to have been professionally well edited since I encountered no errors while reading it. Due to the reasons above, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend it to anyone interested in American history, gay history, and women's emancipation.

The book seems to be heavy emotional-wise. I don't think I can stomach reading about the trauma Black people in America have been through in past generations, some of them they still go through even today! Your review was fair and good. Thank you for sharing your opinions on this book with us.

Pass experiences recounted in this book are quite goob. However, the Author failed to acknowledge some of the whites who contributed immensely to ensure upliftment of the black.
