The In-Between by Christian Espinosa is a memoir and self-help book about the author’s evolution from focusing on the macro that made him live in a bubble until a life-altering incident that opened his eyes. The book is a personal growth and motivational book; the writing is so good that the author takes the readers through his life story.

The focus of the book is the author reminiscing about the bubble he lived in pre-incident and how the incident made him look within himself. He analyzed himself and his past life and realized there needed to be a shift within himself for him to feel fulfilled in life. The book comprises ten chapters that take the readers through the author's different stages of life. The author emphasizes that most people focus on the macro goal or the end goal; they forget to focus and enjoy the micro moment. They forget to enjoy the in-between. The micro moments focus on the present and being aware of this micro moment keeps us grounded and will help in the overall well-being.

The book felt like living through the life of the author, with no hesitation in talking about his ups and downs. The stories were very raw, and he did not hesitate to call out the mistakes he made during his personal and professional life. I felt like reading a good story while learning lessons about personal growth. The author takes us through his relationship breakups, a rough period during covid, his tough childhood, his professional successes and dealing with difficult people. He tells his story candidly, that it makes the book relatable to the readers.

The In-Between by Christian Espinosa is an excellent book for anyone who wants advice for their personal growth and who wants to look within themselves to feel fulfilled and happy in life. It is a very enjoyable read and I do not have any negative comments on the book. The editing work is commendable. Therefore, I give this book a five out of five rating.
