Review of Entrepreneurship: 5 Best Practices for Stay-At-Home-Moms who want to start an Online Business
Joy Jennings's book Entrepreneurship: 5 Best Practices for Stay-At-Home Moms who want to start an Online Business is a rare gem. As someone who has struggled with running a business and now works from home, I can relate to the author's teachings in this book.
Seeing that there was a time when women were not allowed to work makes me wonder how difficult it was for them to survive by themself, not just without finances but with the low self-esteem that comes with being unable to provide for one's self.
Although this book was specifically written for stay-at-home moms, it offers great insight to anyone, single or married, male or female. The book starts by stating the importance of working online and who needs to work online. It further explains the importance of flexibility when owning an online business. The book further discusses the things to consider before starting an online business, such as finances, the type of business you want to have and so on. It further suggests different online businesses one could consider starting up, such as YouTube. The book also encourages people who have chosen to start an online business to conduct proper research, choose a niche, and create a business plan; this will help them understand the market and their competitors.
As someone who has always been interested in running an online business, I found this book very helpful. One of the major things I like about this book is how detail-oriented it is. The author explained each point extensively without boring the readers with too many words. One major part of this book that I liked is the part that explained the tools required for owning an online business; this part is so important because so many people want to start an online business but have no idea what they need to achieve their goals.
Seeing that the author got a sense of organization by performing different military tasks, I understood that we could build certain organization skills by being deliberate and consistent with our current tasks. This book has no downsides as it is a perfect work, in my opinion. When it comes to online businesses, this book is a gem, and I will recommend it to every working-class person. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars because of how detail-oriented it is, the points are self-explanatory, and it is explained in simple terms, which makes it easy for the layman to understand.
