Having low self-esteem and fear is a human trait or character that many people live with, and it has deterred various people from achieving great things during their lifetime. However, by putting into action biblical teachings such as "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13), we become more determined and believe that we can fight any battle that comes our way.

Dr. Barbara V. Crump is an example of a strong, independent, and determined person who harnessed her fears and achieved things she thought she wasn't capable of. However, one person played a very significant role in her life, and that is her husband, Spencer Crump. His encouragement and support enabled her to continue pursuing her education after dropping out of school. To find out more, get yourself a copy of the book From GED to PhD by Dr. Barbara V. Crump.

There are several things I liked about this book. I enjoyed reading about the author's life and was inspired by her. Barbara shared both the happy and difficult moments of her life. She had a child at a young age, experienced abuse, and also divorced at an early age. She later met a man who became a wonderful father to all her children. Also, she shared different stories about her education journey and how challenging it was for her. However, by God's grace, she overcame all these obstacles and even attained a PhD. I was truly inspired by this, and I learned that you can start all over again no matter what step you are in in life. I also learned always to be willing to take a leap of faith and not give up on my dreams.

Another positive aspect of this book is that the author's life story was relatable, especially when it came to her motherhood journey. I had a child a year ago, and I felt like my life had come to a standstill. I put every aspect of my career on hold so that I could take care of my daughter. However, I decided to rejoin school and left the responsibility of the child to the father. While reading this book, I knew the sacrifices the author had to make when it came to spending time with her children since I had made the same sacrifices, and this made the book very relatable for me.

There was nothing I disliked about this book, and it was also well edited, as I encountered few errors. Due to the reasons above, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading inspirational and success stories.
