"I Am Blessed" is a Christian self-help book by Philip B. Renzi. It combines Biblical teaching and truth with practical wisdom to help readers live with purpose. This book shows how, through declaring ourselves blessed, we can shift our focus from a consciousness of lack to that of divine abundance.

The book opens with a look at the phrase "I am blessed," noting its ability to help shift our focus from lack to abundance. It delves into the declaration of identity that is "I am" and how being blessed involves divine favor, gratitude, and inner peace. The book teaches the power of the tongue and the power affirmations have in shaping our reality. The book also comes with some inspirational stories, a lot of scriptural references, and practical exercises to help guide the reader on how to recognize blessings and deal with life's many challenges. It serves as a valuable guide to discovering purpose and unlocking divine blessing.

There are a lot of things I liked about the book. I learned quite a lot from it, particularly about the power of affirmations. It was enlightening to see how they form a feedback loop that can affect those around us positively. The book even delves a bit into the science behind it as it discusses neuroplasticity briefly. I also appreciate the practical exercises provided within the book. This would help readers to take immediate action with the information given. This was true when I read about journaling my affirmations and things to be grateful for.

I felt that fifty-two chapters for this book are too much, and I noticed some themes were discussed repeatedly in the book. For instance, the concept of gratitude is mentioned throughout the book and was discussed in the early parts of the book in Chapter 5 only to then be discussed again in Chapter 20. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars; I removed a star because the book seemed a bit repetitive.  I recommend this book to Christians seeking to live a purposeful life.

Yes he did a great job of connecting biblical truths with practical wisdom. The book reaffirms the power of words, reminding us of Proverbs 18:21 (‘Death and life are in the power of the tongue’). However, some sections repeat concepts, which may not be necessary for readers already familiar with these biblical principles. That said, it’s a valuable guide for Christians looking to deepen their faith through daily affirmations.

The focus on affirmations and gratitude caught my attention, especially with the inclusion of practical exercises. While I’d be interested in reading it for the insights into living with purpose, the repetition mentioned makes me hesitate a bit.

Philip B. Renzi’s “I Am Blessed” offers a thoughtful blend of biblical teachings and practical advice, encouraging readers to embrace gratitude and affirmations to shift from a mindset of lack to one of divine abundance. While the book provides valuable insights and actionable exercises, some themes, such as gratitude, are revisited multiple times, leading to a sense of repetition. Nonetheless, it’s a recommended read for Christians aiming to live a purposeful and fulfilled life.

The concept of using affirmations to shift one's mindset and embrace abundance is inspiring, and I appreciate how the book blends Biblical teachings with practical advice. However, the repetition of certain themes might make it feel a bit lengthy, but the exercises and actionable insights still offer real value.
