All You’ll Never Be: Because of Who You Are is a short self-help book. I appreciate this because I’ve always been of the opinion that self-help books like All You’ll Never Be: Because of Who You Are are better when they’re short because books can’t tell you how to change without you being willing to. This means that no matter how long the self-help book is, the only thing that matters is the message the author is trying to push. The instructions for how to change aren’t nearly as important as your willingness to change and I believe E.L. Neve seems to understand that very well. The author keeps the book short and sweet. They use their words wisely to tell their ideas. The main learning points of the book are about being happy and improving yourself. The book discusses 5 different ideas you should strive to embody and learn in order to better feel at peace and happy with yourself. The author attempts to get you to ponder deeper on the background behind the image and the things that underlie what makes you happy.
From the beginning, it’s evident the author cares about sharing their book with the world and ensuring a quality product people are able to read and find peace in. E.L. Neve created two versions of their book. One is an audiobook and the other is the print version. I listened to the audiobook version of the book. There were short melodies before each of the 5 philosophical ideas. The short melodies were composed and played by the author specifically for their book. I enjoyed listening to them and the peaceful mood they set. The author mentions that they hand-drew pictures on every page of the written book.
I liked the author’s writing style. It was almost poetic and I appreciated the way the author narrated their book. The book felt like listening to a motivational speaker. I found that listening to the book was a little slow but other than that I appreciated everything else about the book.
I rate it a 5 out of 5. I appreciated the lessons I learned from this book.
