Review of Detox Your Circle, Activate Your Destiny
Marcus Aurelius rightly states that “What stands in the way becomes the way.” A human being’s path to self-discovery is full of challenges, both internal and external. So, we need to focus on personal reflection. What proactive measures can we take to thoroughly address the issues that arise on our paths to enlightenment? To learn more, grab a copy of Ernest Sears Jr.’s non-fiction work Detox Your Circle, Activate Your Destiny. Ernest Sears left corporate America after undergoing a mid-life crisis. He writes books, serves others, and works for himself now. He also researches the fundamental traits of successful people.
Our present state of life is our own doing. We can’t let go of what’s holding us back. Therefore, we must detox ourselves from those harmful elements and grow into our authentic selves. Toxic people or beliefs affect our personalities negatively. Author Ernest Sears Jr. writes about our inner transformation. He figures out how to become the best version of oneself. The thirteen toxic elements or ‘red flags’ illustrated in the book include a lack of enthusiasm, blame, envy, and so on. These elements could be found in ourselves or our circles. To find a way out, the book describes a 12-step program. By applying the author’s concepts in our lives, we can become precursors to change in our realms of life. Finally, summing up his experiences of the corporate world, Sears describes ways of guiding teams and our circles.
Mr. Sears provides the relevant information we need in our emotional and spiritual quest. He explains how to deal with a negative mindset and people. The writer also includes his personal experiences throughout the book. For example, he was a bright student. One evening, his fourth-grade teacher, Mrs. Rachel, knocked on his door after school to tell his family how well he was doing in class. The book is inspiring and instructive! In the author’s opinion, one must let go of old baggage in the form of dead ideas and thoughts. We must find passion in how we do our work rather than focusing on what we do. True transformation occurs when one moves from inspiration to manifestation. One then attracts the right people, ideas, and opportunities needed. Oftentimes, we find ourselves in survival mode. We should aim to rise above our animal instincts. Sears’ ideas about leadership are original. Additionally, he teaches ways to live the community life. I resonate with his thoughts on continuous practice and paying forward others’ acts of kindness. Finally, I learned about my role in the scheme of creation.
The book’s content was slightly repetitive. However, the sublime and exquisite literary quality made up for this shortcoming. I discovered just one grammatical error while reading the book, and the editing was perfect. Undoubtedly, the author’s work deserves 5 out of 5 stars for its thought-provoking and useful theme of self-purification.
Those looking for personality development and change in their habits will benefit from reading the book. Readers like me, seeking practical strategies and breakthroughs in their lives will find this book a gem. This masterpiece work is appropriate for both young people and adults. Thus, the remarkable composition may be a milestone in one’s reading adventure.
If you want to enrich your reading experience further, pick up a copy of the book, Your S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Blueprint by Jean Tien. In this book, readers will learn about Jean’s definition of success and its true meaning. She shares a step-by-step process to identify the beliefs that prevent us from moving forward in our lives.
