What exactly is a road-map to the end of days? A road-map, we all know, is a directional guide to follow when one is searching for a location. The statement end of days refers to a religious concept studied for centuries and elaborated on throughout history. Based on historical accounts, it has been stated, studied, deliberated and discussed by many as the last days here on earth as we know it. In Daniel Friedmann’s book Roadmap to the End of Days the author gives us a detailed run down of the events that he has researched over the years. Friedmann shares this information in a well written and easy to follow style. Friedmann puts a time-frame on when these events will likely take place. He also explains that we have learned no one will ever know the exact time. He is wise in that he uses patterns learned from history to estimate what may happen next. He includes charts with explanations, a glossary of terms, and sufficient background information. The reader can grasp his ideas without any difficulties.
This book gave me insight into another view, or interpretation, that is different from the one I have learned. Being that I am still alive, and mortal, I do not have all the answers. I enjoy researching a different view to understand more about my world. I do not find anything wrong with learning what we can about how other interpretations are followed. I am not able to make a conclusion about any one belief. No one really knows which belief is the ultimate, catch all, final word. Friedmann does a great job of including other interpretations in the beginning of the book, however, later in the book there is a distinct concentration towards only one. I would have liked it better if the author continued to share more of the fact that there are other ways to look at things.
I would give this book a 4 out of 4 stars because of the in-depth information included and the understandable way in which it is presented. I enjoyed having the glossary available as it came in handy a few times.
This book would appeal to anyone who is interested in a detailed account of the concept. It is an informative read, whether you believe all the views presented. There is a good example to follow of how to use things that happened in the past to plan for your future. It would surely be beneficial for some of us to utilize this concept.
There were minimal errors in the writing. In fact, I found only two. In one sentence a word was left out; in another sentence the wrong tense was used. This book is a well-researched presentation of Friedmann’s work.
