In the classic days of marketing, brands were built from promise and experience, but in today’s world, brands are built from storytelling and experience. Henry educates readers on the power of storytelling. He says that the audience wants to hear about your experiences and be able to relate to them. He describes brand-building in three simple but not-so-simple steps. He talked about why a personal brand is uniquely yours. He says that it stays with you no matter where you go.

I love how this book combined psychology, marketing, and personal development together. As I read through, I could relate to what he was saying, and I understood why many successful brands are thriving today. Henry gave a detailed breakdown of what it means to be a brand, gave the process of building a brand, and thoroughly explained the power of storytelling. In fact, this book is powerful. Everything needed to start a brand has been covered by Henry, and I think this book is a steal. I learned that branding is not just about the skills or product. It is about how you are seen, the stories you tell, and the emotional bonds that are created along the way.

To me, this book was perfect. I loved and agreed with everything said in this book. The points are versatile and can be applied to any type of business. The part that stood out to me the most was where he talked about how visual representation was worth more than a logo in branding. This stuck with me. Seeing all these, there was nothing to dislike about this book. Therefore, I rate this book, Telling Your Story, Developing Your Brand by Henry Wong, 5 out of 5 stars. It was void of errors, and it was professionally edited. This book will be beneficial to both professionals and starters in the world of marketing. There is a lot to learn from it, so I recommend it.
