"One Chance...One Dance: Don't Miss the Moments of Your Life" by Donna Frisinger is a wonderful collection of stories, poems, and pictures featuring contributions from multiple female authors. Their shared experiences are enriched by corresponding Bible verses and famous quotations.

Well-written verses feature everyday moments and significant life events. Setbacks and celebrations are shared throughout the book. Joy is inspired by "dancing" through awkward moments. Belief in God is authentically portrayed and attributed to well-lived lives. Faith is not forced or directed at the reader. The women make the most of their lives and attribute their ability to endure difficult times and revel in great moments to Jesus Christ. The reader is inspired to take chances as well.

The message throughout the book is to dance like nobody is watching. To dance in the moment, even if you are uncomfortable, is meant to transcend the literal act of dancing, although Ms. Frisinger is a professional dancer. The reader feels motivated to take every opportunity presented in life, for fear it may not appear again. The message is clear that Jesus Christ guides them in every moment. They don't always know it at the moment. For example, getting stuck in traffic after a miserable experience on a flight and missing a chance to network with numerous professionals can convert into a delightful opportunity to connect with a few on a deeper level.

I give the book 5 out of 5 stars for impeccable editing and uplifting messaging. It is a well-written book and easily flows from one vignette to the next. Ms. Frisinger gathered an inspired group of women to share their deepest memories and experiences in this wonderful book. The intended audience is adults. The book contains reflections of mature women, meant for women, but can certainly be appreciated by men.

I am glad that apart from the stories themselves and the numerous testimonies, the reader is inspired to take chances. It is also amazing to see that credit is given to God for carrying them through the hard and difficult moments in life. This is a great review, @Darlyn McCormick.

This review really touched me. It sounds like a beautiful, uplifting read filled with heartfelt wisdom and faith. I love the idea of ‘dancing through life’s moments,’ even the uncomfortable ones. Definitely a book I’d like to read when I need encouragement.
