This Is My Word, Alpha and Omega by Gabriele is a beautiful work of Christian-Revelation that transcends the boundaries set by the Bible in terms of content. This work essentially delineates the enormity of everything that was and will be. According to the author: “Building on the “Gospel of the Holy Twelve,” an already existing gospel text outside of the Bible, Christ, Himself, reveals details of His incarnation in Jesus of Nazareth. He also shows us how we can live in today’s time according to the laws of God, the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount, and He gives us a preview of the future, in His Kingdom of Peace on Earth. “ Hence, the author begins the act of revealing the Christian realities that transcend the realm of religion and invade every aspect of our lives.

As an atheist, I must say that I was left astounded. The writing style of the author lured me all the way to the ending of the book, and I found the text utterly irresistible. It isn’t as much about what was written as it is about how it was written to me. The eloquence and grace with which the author delineates a specific reality incentivises the reader into a world she might not fully comprehend. The author has effectively weaved a narrative that has appeals to not just a specific demographic, which in this case would be people of the Christian faith, but everyone who is interesting in understanding the nature of everything.

As someone who is far removed from this reality, I decided to review this book because I was intrigued by its title. As terms like “Alpha” and “Omega” might suggest, there is something cryptic and ambiguous about the title, and the reader might find himself lift up the book just to find what this title connotes. “Revelation” is perhaps the perfect word to describe the book, even if one looks at it through a broad lens, because the author of this book concerns herself with slowly and deliberately unravelling the truth that is often obscured by one’s preconceived notions about the nature of life.

The author has certainly done a splendid job of creating a coherent and informative narrative, and unlike what I expected, this text is not didactic in any way. On the contrary, the author seems to be delineating certain ideas that might even surprise Christians.

For all these reasons as well as for the fact that I found this text deeply transgressive in nature, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It is a perfect read for anyone who is a lover of religious as well as non-religious texts that deal with the nature of life.

Must be a good read if it astonished you. I am glad you enjoyed it even though you are an atheist. Thanks for the review!

I must say I applaud you for being so open minded to look into a subject that potentially could have been a negative reading experience for you. I’m finding that myself as I am reading and reviewing books that I might not have given a glance to previously. Your wording of your review translates peace to me. It felt like a deep sigh of peace, and I don’t know why I had that feeling. Your description of this makes me want to add this one to my bookshelf. It would seem that the author put in something special in this one that many can enjoy. Thank you for this insightful review.

I didn't expect such beautiful comments on this review. To be honest, I feel that part of being open-minded is to accept things you cannot understand, and so I love delving into religious texts.

It is interesting to note that even a self-proclaimed atheist like you have been swayed and convinced by the craftily-written piece you've reviewed. As a Christian and though hard it may at times tend to seem, I wish to adhere to Jesus' teachings on love, inclusivity and embracing everyone, regardless of background ("Gentile or Jew, servant or free, woman or man, no more" as it is written). Thank you for your open-mindedness and respect for what initially clashes with your own personal perspectives. Just like you've shown, I believe that our world could indeed become a better place if we set aside and instead utilise our differences and individual uniqueness to concoct a brilliant blend of ideas and innovative thinking for positive results. Your review is not only well-written but also a revelation in itself.
