BOOM! A Revolting Situation, by Thomas Richard Harry is a new book that serves to express the dissatisfaction of American citizens towards the country’s bipartisan political system. Many wonder where the rain could have started pondering on the country’s politics. Some try to figure out possible solutions of curbing the worsening situation before it can get out of hand. The author’s topic is very compound but he makes up an elementary story that all can digest with much ease.
America’s political system is less progressive. Both the donkey and the elephant seem not to fully satisfy the desires of their supporters and some people, including Richard Thomas Harry, find it fashionable not to identify with any of the political parties. The author has used his long-term experience as a conservative to develop the book into a high standard book. As I went through this great political thriller, I could notice the writer’s greatest desire for change or an adjustment in the American political structure. He even pleads with other people to support him in his quest for change.
The author’s neutral position as he narrated the story was very much encouraging. It installed great confidence in me as I read the story. I strongly believe that my fellow readers will equally achieve and embrace this confidence that the author installs in his audience. Harry points out the massive heaps of skeletons that both the elephant and the donkey have scattered on the American political landscape. This supports his political non-alignment since he does not favor any side of the great American political divide.
Harry takes some time to describe American political history before he can point out the evils that the donkey and the elephant have caused to the USA. I really liked his decision to describe the political path that the US has trodden on over the years. It is very admirable and lays the foundation for the establishment of the story. This historical narration sets you on reading this book. The historical description of America’s politics attains its climax at the point where Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton differ in political ideologies. Each of them later takes a different political direction.
I would recommend this book to lovers of history and politics. Students pursuing courses such as political science will equally find this book to be a perfect stepping stone towards their academic excellence. I am a fan of politics and so this book really made my day. I felt for this country that is now being torn apart by divisive politics. This book, BOOM! A Revolting Situation really mirrors the overwhelming situation in the USA whereby liberals and conservatives can never agree and settle on one common political idea. The donkey is busy kicking the country with its strong hind legs while the gigantic elephant is wrapping its destructive trunk around the country.
Since this book is a modern classic book, I really loved it. I failed to notice any error as I read it. Because it is professionally written and edited, I gave it 4 out of 4 stars.
